SORRY MAA!

Recently i happened to watch the movie Thanks Maa... its indeed is a fantabulous movie! It acts as a tool to communicate the message to today's generation regarding their degenerating values and their life styles which indeed has long term effects on the generation to come. The director was sensitive enough to take note of the finer details and to depict them so realistically. The movie highlights the result of the 'fun' enjoyed by the youth from well to do families which culminates in the increasing number of street children!!It offers many lesson's to the present generation and is a must watch.....

Nirvana.

‘’Hey Priyanka, today is a strike so no college I guess’’ sounded Dipali on the phone. I was already dressed and was waiting to go to the college. My mind just drifted away regarding the convictions behind these strikes. In the first place, why should we the public bear the brunt of someone’s action who is so insignificant in the society??why should we give a chance for someone so attention seeking like Muthalik to be in the limelight for all the wrong reasons? I just realized then that a person like Muthalik is just making his presence felt in occasions like this and publicizing his organization and himself. He in turn is using it as a publicizing tool! So its high time that we public got back into our senses and realized this fact! We need to follow the policy ‘’ignorance is bliss’’ to such personalities as him! This is because reacting to such people will only provide a platform for them to exhibit their nonsense and nothing more! moreover no government officials can take action and find a solution to it permanently! so its wise to just let them be!!!

Artbeat lessons.

‘’Priyanka Jayaraj is the coordinator of ART-BEAT 2010’’ announced Rose Veera Mam, the staff coordinator of the fest. One rush of chill just went down my spine… I just couldn’t believe that I was given such a big responsibility! We made different committees and began working. Initially we had a lot of difference in opinion and had to negotiate and reach conclusions. Then we had to change some of our working strategies for good! This proved to be effective as we had a good turnout of colleges. We racked our brains to come up with creative events with the theme Darbaar-e-kala and designed a good brochure as well! On the other hand, we walked in and out of all the organizations and establishments to get the necessary funds for the event and made the best use of all our contacts to reach our target budget. We also had a firsthand experience of a press conference for publicizing this event. This event was a big success for all the hard work we put in. ’’In the last ten years of artbeat, ARTBEAT 2010 has been the best’’ commented Alwyn D’Sa, Lecturer of English department, St Aloysius college. Moreover I have personally gained a lot with this event. I have learnt to manage different types of people with different temperaments, patience, perseverance, importance of maintaining good contacts and the value of good friendships. This indeed has helped me to grow as a person.
